Simple Shoes started as a small company in Santa Barbara 1991. Simple’s focus is to make all their products ecologically sustainable. Materials used include recycled tire rubber, hemp, organic cotton, PET (post-consumer pop bottles), bamboo, jute, and water based glues.
Their eco-friendly practices happen to make many of their product lines vegan. The shoe-box Simple Shoes come in is 100% biodegradable, so you can start seedlings in the box this spring and then bury the whole shebang!!
This year the City of Santa Barbara (where Simple is based) honored them as recycler of the year.
